There are two types of skin defaults Maxis Match and realistic. They replace your Sims’ skin. Skin default replacements are exactly what they sound like.

Maxis Match Default Download Any Eyes
A great starter skin and eyes is Apple Cider Vinegar v2 and Brntwaffles Sarhra Eyes v2. They make the sim's eyes NOT look like they're stoned. Alternatively, Hysterical Paroxysm's Custard is great, although they only work for teens thorugh elders, and no one has yet made proper conversions.Medium / Heavy: Before you download any eyes, get mahamudo's fix for #AWT's default eye mesh d and Buckley's conversion of THAT for toddlers and kids.
If you want more shine but still kinda maxis match, Plumbblobs is a queen. (If you love their stuff, go buy them a KoFi!) If you don't like their texture, Pandelabs is a great second, and can fit really nicely with both Alpha and MM Styles. ChazyBazzy is great for hardcore MM lovers, since they have GIGABYTES of hair and doesn't have that annoying shine most people have. Brntwaffles (they do skins and have more eyes too, but scroll down because their most recent stuff is for TS4)Light - EA Hairs are mostly fine, since they don't really look dated and can be customized af with Create A Style.Medium - Store hairs are great for Medium! I recommend Buckley's Disentangled ( part one part two) for females, for men editsim's 70 retextured store hairs are great (There is virtually no difference between the textures in my eyes.) But if you really want everything to match, just buy the store hairs themselves (legally or illegally, your prerogative.)Heavy - Depends on the kind of texture you want. I'll just list the creators so you can look around (Warning: some of these creators are dead and have moved on to TS4, but their stuff is still up for grabs.) But these aren't the only MM skins, oh no, there's tons more.
(Look around!)Heavy - There's so many so i'll just list some: I recommend Date Night, Fifth Avenue Fashions Jet Set , etc. (but you have to pay for it since it's a store set) Alternatively, the clothes from Showtime and University life also work well.Medium - More Store sets. simsxolove (hairs for kids, scroll down)Light - The Everyday Clothes Set is awesome for hip millenial sims. Beaverhausen (previews are broken, just search an image for the hair in question) Additionally, I have some old, dead creators (though not IRL don't worry LOL) :

Pralinesims makeup is also pretty!(BTW, this isn't really necessary, since pudding face doesn't need sliders to look good.)Sliders: For Light, Jonha's sliders are great.
